The region has always attracted the global IT players, however with the advent of Dubai Internet City, a hub was created for all to concentrate from that has now started to attract more interest from head offices wishing to relocate to the region with ever changing tax laws in Europe and the US and the drop in real estate prices here has made Dubai in particular very attractive. The Telco market is in much the same position whilst also developing new brands such as Du to take away the monopolies that the likes of Etisalat have and give the customer more choice and are expanding rapidly.
